MUth presents Radium Girls

Event Description:

The M-Uth Theatre Ensemble presents Radium Girls by D.W. Gregory (produced with special arrangement by Dramatic Publishing, and originally produced by Playwrights Theatre of New Jersey). M-Uth Theatre is a youth theatre company for teens and young adults of mixed abilities, and this talented ensemble tackles the heart wrenching story of the young women who worked in the dial painting factories of the early 1900s. In order to make the watch dials glow in the dark, the girls painted them with radioactive radium-based paint. To make a fine tip on their brushes, the girls were instructed by their employers to point them with their lips. When the girls begin to get sick, the company embarked on a coverup to save themselves and their business while slowly poisoning their workers. Radium Girls runs on August 8th, 2026 at 7pm and August 9th, 2026 at 2pm at The Ware Center (42 N. Prince St) in Lancaster! Admission is FREE and no tickets are required!
